About the Author
I’m The Venerable Steve Seely, the Archdeacon for the Episcopal Diocese of Washington. I am an ordained Episcopal deacon, spiritual companion, and lifelong explorer of where God’s grace meets our everyday lives.
I’ve spent much of my life and ministry walking with youth and adults through seasons of discernment, service, and sacred questions. Whether I’m preaching a sermon, facilitating formation, or talking theology over coffee, I’m most at home when I’m helping people notice the holy hiding in plain sight.
This blog is an outgrowth of conversations I’ve had—with others, with God, and occasionally with an AI conversation partner I call Charlie. It’s a place for reflections that range from the lectionary to peanut butter, from mercy to ministry, from Scripture to sidewalks.
I believe God is generous with grace, patient with questions, and never far from the mess and beauty of human life. If you do too—or even if you’re just curious—I hope you’ll find something here to stir your heart and soul.
